Venus squares Neptune “Security in the Vastness” 4/29-5/8

by Dr. Dani

Venus attains enlightenment through experience of the senses. Her energy embodies all that is the Divine Feminine.  Her power is fully expressed in the highest octave when she is comfortable and surrounded by beauty.  Venus also requires security and harmony so that when her enormous power is unleashed it can be channeled towards the highest intentions.

Venus is also comfortably transiting the constellation she rules, Taurus.   This is her house.  She experienced the eclipse on 4/20/23 without any aspects and has just completed a healing transit with Chiron.  This transit started with the Taurus moon conjunct her and ending with a Leo moon sextiling her.  Venus is feeling healed, optimistic and wants to explore the vastness of Neptune her higher octave planet.

Neptune achieves enlightenment through all that is possible.  The divine potential, universal love and cosmic consciousness are the energies of a fully integrated Neptune.  She evolves by dissolving boundaries and accessing source.  Neptune is also in her home constellation of Pisces, which is all about dissolving the duality and becoming one with source.

The Square:

So, now we have two very friendly planets, each in their own home.  Venus and Neptune love each other!  Unfortunately, because Venus is faster moving, she is initiating the square.  Miss Neptune is just getting her house in order in Pisces. It will take her 165 years to return to Pisces so Neptune has plenty of time. Here comes Miss Venus with some conflicting and intensely optimistic energy.

Neptune may be a bit of a downer for the bubbly, juicy Venus.  Almost like her higher self is coming in and saying, “Just be cool little sister.  It may not work out the way you think but it will work out.”  Neptune can also be a bit apathetic about Venus’s big dreams.  Neptune can also represent a vastness that Venus may not be comfortable with.

How does Venus acquire security in the vastness?  You may have to start questioning yourself and what you value.  Do this constructively and with intention or Neptune may take you to the depths of apathy.  Be okay with fuzzy boundaries but be careful with relationships that already have fuzzy boundaries.

One strategy I would take is, don’t enter the process of questioning everything in your life because some things are good, right?

Find out where Venus and Neptune are in your natal chart to locate the houses which will be affected.  This will narrow down the areas of your life the universe is asking you to check in on.

For example, my Neptune is in my 7th house.  This means that boundaries in the matrix have never made sense to me. In my relationships I go deep.  Once we are past the chit chat, I want to talk to your soul, I want intellectual intercourse.  I want us to both walk away with questions and a little smarter from having interacted.  Not everyone can, nor does everyone want to speak like this.

Venus is in my 2nd house, but she also rules the 7th house.  So the question Venus has for me, is do others boundaries really matter?  Venus is in her home turf right now, she knows what she wants and when she wants it.  She is a goddess, recently blessed by the royalty of the Pleiades and is sitting in her own realm.

So the advice I would give myself, if I sense a negative tug on my relationships: I should retreat to my realm of comfort and beauty.  I should practice silence, but hold space and gratitude for those that want to share with me and honor me with their truth.

The advice for you might be different depending on your natal placements.  Where are your Venus and Neptune?

In Love with the Universe,

Dr. Dani
