Your Sun Sign is based on a date, and for most people it is not aligned to the actual constellations In the sky.
Modern western astrology has not aligned to the actual sky for over 2000 years. Constellational Astrology and Astronomy have been one sacred science for more than 10000 years.
Western tropical astrologers will say this is the way they have always practiced it. They will also say that because tropical astrology aligns to the Spring Equinox that it is accurate. Constellational astrology is also accurate, but it aligns with the stars.

♍VIRGO: September 15th - November 3rd
♎LIBRA: November 4th - November 22nd
♏SCORPIO: November 23rd - December 6th
⛎OPHIUCHUS: December 7th - December 18th
